EUSO(Extreme Universe Space Observatory)は10(exp 20)eVを超える極限エネルギー宇宙線を検出するための科学ミッションである。それは宇宙線が地球大気中で作った空気シャワーからの紫外光を観測するこれまでにない超広視野(60度)の望遠鏡である。現在、日欧米の共同でEUSO計画を遂行中であり、将来国際宇宙ステーションに搭載を予定している。
