The final objective of this team is to detect biological change of osteoclasts under zero gravity using an in vitro culture system. In this system, we use biodegradable and unbiodegradable hydroxyapatite discs and granules as scaffolds of osteoclasts. Using this system, we will detect calcium and phosphate concentration and protein constitution in the culture medium, and will also analyze gene expression in osteoclasts.
