In order to identify genes involved in the cell wall dynamics responsible for plant morphogenesis as regulated by gravity conditions, an oligo DNA microarray has been prepared that consists of 762 Arabidopsis cell-wall related genes. By use of this microarray, groups of genes committed to construction of supporting tissues in Arabidopsis inflorescence stems growing under 1 g gravity conditions have been identified.
