Electric propulsion permits long operation in space and low costs. In this study, optimization of acceleration channel structure and material in Hall thrusters are examined. Numerical simulation was carried out by using hybrid Particle-In-Cell method, and its result was compared with the experimental one. The magnetic-layer-type Hall thruster THT-VI, which has the same channel configuration as Russian SPT-100 Hall thruster, was operated. Calculated dependence of channel material on performance showed that the BNAlN channel with a high secondary electron emission coefficient has the highest performance.
