But it is also understood that supersynchronous shaft vibrations, with a frequency of about 1.0 to 1.2 times of the OTP shaft rotational speed are increased under the flight condition, those are caused by rotating cavitation in the inducer. In order to improve the reliance and to suppress the rotating cavitation, the cavitation tests were performed using improved inducer liner. Tests were conducted using water as working fluid.
