Planets with very little amount of water on their surface, called "land planets", have wider habitable zones than that of Earth-like "aqua planets" (Abe et al. (2011)). We investigated complete evaporation of liquid water on the ground of land planets using 1D energy balance model (EBM) with the transport of ground water. We found that the complete evaporation of ground water is controlled by the insolation and the latitude of dry edge, which is the boundary between the dry zone and the wet zone. Dry edge is determined by balance between the transport of water vapor in the atmosphere and liquid water on the ground.
