To clarify the thermodynamic effects on cavitation in cryogenic propellants, new Cryogenic Cavitation Tunnel (CCT) was constructed in the Cryogenic Inducer Test Facility at the Kakuda Space Center of JAXA. Liquid nitrogen is used as the working fluid for experiments of the thermodynamic effects on cavitation. The performance of the tunnel was confirmed to be well-satisfied from the verification test by using a cavitating orifice. In this article, the results of the verification test and the future program are presented.
