The development of a resolver type angular detector has been carried out. The angular detector was selected as one of high-priority components to be developed in Japan by JAXA's Technical Committee on Space Parts and Components, in which outside experts joined. The development started in FY2003, to aim for an angular detector which is competitive in the international market. Bread Board Model, design and manufacture of a qualification model, and the qualification test were successfully completed in FY2006. The developed angular detector is adopted for on-going earth observation satellite projects.
