To obtain the growth constant of oscillatory combustion of propellants from the data of T-burner tests, a band-pass filter was used to avoid the interference from the disturbances accompanied by an ignition pulse and higher harmonics of oscillatory combustion itself. However, the transient characteristics of the narrow band-pass filter determined by its Q-value is critical to obtain the meaningful value of growth constants. A correction method from the apparent growth constant observed by an arbitral band-pass filter to the true value was proposed.
