A new method of correlation measurement using FFT algorism is proposed. An envelope of a correlation function (or an inverse Fourier transform of a transfer function) is shown to be calculated easily by this method. Correlation envelopes are useful in measuring wave propagation, especially in dispersive wave cases. Experiments of sound propagation and flexural wave propagation are described.
