In the simulation, the Hall effect is taken into account. Numerical results show that the Hall effect distorts the distribution of the electric currents around a reentry vehicle with attack angles. The distortion of electric currents leads to the generation of a side force on the vehicle, although the side force obtained under the present simulation conditions is considerably weak compared with a drag and a lift force. Furthermore, the numerical results indicate that the strength and the direction of the side force depend on attack angles, and also that the side force becomes zero at a particular attack angle.",
