In this study, the model which is constructed with two Savonius rotors placed in parallel behind a circular cylinder is made. In this windmill system, drag which acts on the reversing bucket of Savonius rotor decreases owing to being in the low speed velocity region in a wake. Furthermore, as the flow accelerates beside the circular cylinder, drag which acts on the advancing bucket increases. To compare the revolution of the rotor in the windmill system with that of the single rotor, the wind tunnel experiments were conducted. It is found that the revolution in the system is higher than that of the single rotor. In order to determine the Savonius rotors configuration, the experiments at the system were conducted for various configurations of rotors. The results showed that there is the optimal configuration of the rotors. The experiments were conducted with three types of the power augmentation system; guide-vane, casing cover and splitter plate.
