The runways A and B Tokyo international airport (Haneda airport) have a cross over point. When an aircraft takes off from the runway A, it may be possible at this cross over point that the jet blast from the aircraft constitutes a hazard for another aircraft landing on the runway B. Therefore, it is required for operational safety and for improvemnt of capacity and efficiency of air traffic control to predict the trajectory of long-distance jet blast with high accuracy. In order to examine the far-field velocity of jet blast by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in this research, simulation with Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equation is carried out by using very large computational domain. The velocity profiles obtained by numerical simulation agree well those obtained by experiments. Moreover, it is also found tha the blast is sensitive to the cross-wind.
