Acoustic noise, velocity and temperature fluctuations and boundary-layer trqnsition were measured in the NAL 2 mX2 m transonic windtunnel test section. The data was obtained utilizing a condenser microphone, hot film probe and smooth 10-degree cone. Noise and transition data was then compared with that of other windtunnels. It was found that the NAL 2 mx2 m TWT was one of the best conventional windtunnels with regard to turbulence in the test section steam.
