Records of operation and maintenance are described for two air source facilities for the jet engine component test rigs in the National Aerospace Laboratory. One of these is an air compressor driven by a 3700kW motor. It was constructed in 1958 and the accumulated running time is 6570 hrs. The other is an air compressor driven by a 1800kW motor. It was completed in 1962 and it has been operated 9064 hrs now. During this time, no major trouble was experienced in either of the compressors. Minor changes were applied to the auxiliaries in order to reduce exhaust noise.
