In this paper are presented the concepts and the detailed functions of a Job-Jobstep scheduler which constitutes the kernal of software packages developed for the management of the NAL computer system (NS system). One of the important functions of the Job-Jobstep scheduler is to assign appropriate amounts of work load to three central processing units and several input-output processing units. As a result, the NS system retains a high CPU operating ratio and provides users with much convenience. Experiments have shown that the designed effectiveness of the Job-Jobstep Scheduler has been achieved.
