We propose the gap parameter γ between AP particles for viscoelasticity analysis in AP/HTPB composite propellant slurry. When the particle-gap γ of the AP particles was narrowed by increasing the amount of oxidant, the dynamic viscoelasticity and the shape-retaining property changed deeply at around γ = 0.5. This result suggests the possibility that the dense particulate structure of the AP particles greatly contributes to the rheology of the entire slurry.
