The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) is running the data archiving system which is called as ''J-SPACE''. HPSS (High Performance Storage System) is used in J-SPACE. Magnetic tape is the primary data storage medium, and its management is critical. In order to gather information such as status and statistics of tapes in a handy manner, we developed a tool called ''HPSS Tape Catalog Tool''. This document is to introduce it.
