This paper studies the motion around a two-mass body system suggested by Prieto-Llanos and Gomez-Tierno [1] that two spherical mass contact each other and are fixed by a massless stick, modeling the gravity field by the spherical harmonics expansion. For the spherical harmonics, up to the 3rd-oder terms are taken into account. The motion is characterized by perturbation from a nominal orbit in every one period. In this study, the nominal orbit is defined by the solution of the two body problem. From the potential, the two-mass body's gravity field consists of two shape effects: an ellipsoidal shape and an asymmetric mass-distribution along the major semiaxis. To see the motion in the real case, the close orbit about Asteroid Itokawa is investigated. Under the condition that the inclination is 90 deg and the orbital period is an integer times slower than the spin rate, only the drift of the argument of latitude appears.
