KAGUYA (SELENE) is Japan's first large lunar explorer that was launched on September 14, 2007 by the H-IIA launch vehicle. We selected a phasing lunar transfer orbit with 2 loops as the KAGUYA lunar transfer orbit and six series of lunar insertion maneuvers. Then, KAGUYA was inserted into the orbit around the Moon with decelerating maneuver on October 3, 2007 that was called Lunar Orbit Insertion 1(LOI1). After that, KAGUYA conducted decelerating maneuvers several times at the perilune and gradually decreased apolune height. In this process, KAGUYA separated Rstar and Vstar. Finally, it was inserted into the observation orbit, which was the circular orbit with 100km of height and 90 degrees of orbital inclination on October 18, 2007. This paper represents the KAGUYA's orbital maneuver plans and shows the operational results during lunar transfer orbit and lunar orbit insertion.
