The study program for the future is described about the study of the Water-Energy-cycle Space Propulsion System (WECPSP) based on the result that has been achieved so far. This study was done as a Sprout Study on the Japanese Space Forum in 2002 and 2003. This study on two years is a basic study, and the study in the future is an actual proof study. A rough prospect adhered to the development of the reversible type fuel cell in a basic study. However, the problem remains in the water supply in the water electrolysis mode. In the study, it thought whether there was a method for the confirmation whether the WECSPS operated in the microgravity environment in the gravity environment. As a result, the hypothesis said that it only had to be able to drive a whole system in arbitrary attitude was installed, and it experimented according to actually arbitrary attitude. As a result, it was confirmed to drive in all attitude. It is thought that it became possible by the installation of gas/water separation film in having made this can drive the subsystem of the WBCSPS respectively in microgravity, and the reversible type fuel cell. It is scheduled that the water electrolysis of 200 W class is developed and the fuel cell of 100 W class is developed in the actual proof study. As for this, it is scheduled to develop as a reversible type fuel cell. A whole system that functions by using these reversible fuel cells as a WECSPS is proposed, and developed. If development is finished on the ground because the propulsion subsystem is only GH2/GO2 faction, and the original gas system the proof experiment in space need not be conducted. The vacuum ignition experiment is done including the development of the cooling type chamber and will be evaluated in the future. Finally, an easy evaluation and examination when the WECSPS was changed into the SFU propulsion system was done.
