If the trajectory during the reentry phase could be known, even if it\u0027s not monitored in real-time, the information will be a great help for the rapid recovery. The radiation from the highly-heated reentry body during the aerodynamic heating has enough intense radiation in visible region for the detection on the ground. This paper investigates a method of optical capturing of the reentry bodies by means of the visible radiation from the bodies during the aerodynamic heating.
