Theory predicts that the atomic g-factor is modified by the nonresonant rf field, and hence the output frequency of the optically pumped magnetometer shifts by this field. Theoretical predictions are verified by the experiment with a self-oscillating magnetometer with cesium vapor. It is found that this kind of error can be neglected for the measurement of the geomagnetic field on the earth with a magnetometer whose precision is about 1 gamma, but it becomes important when the precision is improved to be less than 10^\u003c-2\u003e gamma. 内容記述 | Behavior of the optically pumped atoms in a static magnetic field and a nonresonant rf field is analized in terms of the macroscopic magnetization. Theory predicts that the atomic g-factor is modified by the nonresonant rf field, and hence the output frequency of the optically pumped magnetometer shifts by this field.
