With the assumed various lengths of initial non-wetted region the boundary layer equations for a steam-air mixture have actually been computed by means of the finite difference schemes, for a wide variety of flow parameters : the uniform flow velocity, the mass fraction of steam and the bulk-to-wall temperature difference. The effect of initial non-wetted length on the heat transfer is examined.
