In order to make clear of the effects of gravity and the natural heat convection in the gas arc-discharge for the production of new carbon materials, the gravity-free gas arc experiment is carried out by use of a jet plane. The characteristics of gas temperature distribution and motion of fused carbon particles are obtained.
