The giant growth of the concentration fluctuations in liquids has been found near the eutectic point of homogeneous liquid phase in eutectic systems composed of metal and semiconductor. With the decrease of temperature, the positive departure from the straight line of rho was found. This behavior was explained by the effective medium theory in which microscopic domains of semiconductors and metals were assumed to exist in the homogeneous liquid phase. The degree of the growth of concentration fluctuation was found to correlate to some parameter relating to the composition and the temperature of eutectic point and the semiconductor. Such a concentration fluctuation was found also for a typical metal-metal eutectic system, Bi-Cd. The microgravity is a good circumstance for the study of concentration fluctuations discussed here. The supercooling of liquids is discussed with the relation to the concentration fluctuation and the microgravity.
