This paper proposes spaceborne observation of meteor activities with a feasible design of a small, yet dedicated satellite. The satellite is designed to fit in a format of low-cost, short-term development making use of off-the-shelf components, and to be launched as a piggyback payload of a commercial rocket launcher. The goal of the mission is to conduct the scientific observation of the prospective meteor outbursts from beyond the atmosphere, obtaining a unique view of the shower looking down over a large coverage of the night sky and visible-ultraviolet spectrographs of the meteors to seek for a signature of organic materials.
