A finite difference method, which is second order accurate in time and space, is used to solve three dimensional, time dependent incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in spherical polar coordinates. The spherical Couette flow between two concentric spheres with the inner one rotating is computed. The spiral Taylor-Goertler (TG) vortex flow was simulated, and a comparison of the numerical solutions with the available experimental measurements was also made. It is demonstrated that the three dimensional spiral TG vortices in the spherical Couette flow are well simulated.
