Establishment of a life enhancing design technology for a combustion chamber is strongly required to realize thereusable rocket engine system. The most effective method to prolong the chamber life is to reduce the thermal load to thechamber wall, and applications of a thermal barrier coating and film cooling of a throat region are being investigated inJAXA. On the other hand, a life test using an actual chamber is a very cost and time consuming method. Therefore, theaccelerated test method for evaluation of a chamber life is also investigated.
