Solar sail experimental spacecraft "Ikaros" has been launched by JAXA/JSPEC in May 21, 2010. After launch, sail deployment has been performed successfully, and Ikaros is now on the way to the Venus. In this experimental mission, the assessment and control of solar radiation pressure is one of the mission success criteria. This paper presents the initial results on the acceleration estimation for Ikaros. For the first step, we estimate radiation pressure acceleration at the same time as spacecraft state vector. Using successive 5 pass tracking data, estimation precision with a several percent of total acceleration can be achieved. In the next step, model parameters of radiation pressure are estimated using the results of the first step. It is confirmed that the improvement of the model parameters is possible by accumulating observation data.
