          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">In an attempt to detect Eulerian free nutations in the observed spins of medium-sized to small asteroids, the following new trials were performed with a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) attached to the Kiso 1 m-Schmidt telescope, to obtain higher-precision light curves than those in traditional methods: (1) Construction of a synthesized reference star from several field stars, to reduce the error caused by the Poisson noise in photometric reference stars, and (2) High-rate acquisition of CCD frames, to allow a smoothing by a running-box mean and thereby to reduce the scattering of light curves. As for both trials, some examples of improvement are shown.</datacite:description>
