メッセージパッシングライブラリPVM(並列バーチャル・マシン)およびNWT(数値風洞)-Fortranコンパイラ指示の2つの方法で、ナビエ・ストークス方程式に基づくDNS(直接数値シミュレーション)ソルバを並列化した。1次元および2次元分割手法を用いて、NAL(航空宇宙技術研究所)のベクトルパラレルコンピュータ「NWT」のプログラム性能を解析し、NWTへの適合ベクトルチューニングおよび並列チューニングを適用した。次に、プログラムの実行時間を推定するプログラムの性能評価モデル作成した。本モデルにて導出の推定時間を実測実行時間と比較し、性能評価モデルの適応性を評価して、良い一致を得た。本作業はONERA(国立航空宇宙工学研究所)とNALの共同で実施した。本作業で扱ったプログラムはONERAが開発した「PEGASE」と称するものである。
A DNS (Direct Numerical Simulation) solver based on the Navier-Stokes equations was parallelized in two ways: one uses PVM (Parallel Virtual Machine) message passing library and the other NWT (Numerical Wind Tunnel)-Fortran compiler directives. By employing both one- and two-dimensional partitioning methods, the performance of the program on NAL vector parallel computer 'NWT' was analyzed, and vector tuning and parallel tuning was applied to it to be suitable for NWT. Then a performance model of the program to estimate the consuming time of the program was made. By comparing the estimation time derived from the model and the actual time consumed, applicability of the performance model was evaluated and a good agreement was obtained. This work was done in the collaboration between ONERA (Office National d'Etudes et de Recherches Aerospatiales) and NAL. The program treated in this work is called 'PEGASE' developed by ONERA.
