          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">高速から低速流域を含むフローフィールドの速度ベクトルマップを瞬時に計測できる、流体計測におけるこの極めて魅力的なPIV(Particle Image Velocimetry)計測法は、近年開発研究が急速に進み、とくに従来困難とされてきた高速流体計測の実用化へ大きく進展してきた。NALでは、超音速航空機用エンジンの研究の一環として進めているラム燃焼器モデル内の高速・高乱流域計測に応用している。最近のPIV装置の構成と原理、計測結果および実計測上直面している問題点などについて述べる。</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">The extremely attractive Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) in flow measurement, which can instantly measure the velocity vector map of the flow field from high speed to low speed, has been a subject of rapid research and development. In particular, it has evolved into the application to the high speed flow measurement, which has been considered difficult with conventional methods. In National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL), it has been applied to the high speed and high turbulence region measurement in the ram combustor model, which has been developed as a part of the research on the supersonic aircraft engine. The architecture and principle of the latest PIV apparatus, the measurement results, and the problems in actual measurement are described.</datacite:description>
