          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">With the increase of computer speed and capacity, the numerical prediction method, which has been developed mainly in the field of aircraft technology, is gradually being applied to automotive aerodynamics. However, the large wake behind a road vehicle necessitates more elaborate computational techniques for the selection of turbulence model, boundary condition, etc. In this paper, the effects of boundary conditions on the numerical turbulent flow around a road vehicle are preliminarily analyzed using the finite difference mthod and the kappa - epsilon turbulence model. It is found from the calculations that the stability and behavior of numerical solution depends strongly on the boundary conditions of turbulence energy and dissipation ratio.</datacite:description>
