          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">The 54th Fluid Dynamics Conference / the 40th Aerospace Numerical Simulation Symposium (June 29 - July 1, 2022. Iwate Citizen Information Exchange Center (Aiina)), Morioka, Iwate, Japan</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description descriptionType="Other">Vortex dynamics in compressible flow shows unique behavior including vortex suppression and shock wave generation. We developed stability analysis method in linear region and nonlinear region based on entropy generation to investigate compressibility effect on vortex dynamics. Kolmogorov flow and vortex collision problem were employed as the target flows and their long-term behavior was analyzed using a newly developed spectral method without artificial viscosity. Stability analysis for long-term behavior of the Kolmogorov flow showed unstable mode near shear layer accompanied by shock wave generation. On the other hand, that of the vortex collision problem showed that the contact of the colliding vortices was suppressed due to compressibility.</datacite:description>
