M.}, book = {スペース・プラズマ研究会 平成15年度, Space Plasma Conference FY2003}, month = {Oct}, note = {The laboratory simulation experiment has been performed to observe the dynamical behavior of the earth's magnetosphere based upon the earthward electric field measurement in the magnetotail on the sun-earth line in the nightside magnetosphere. The earthward electric field, E(sub x), is directly related to the auroral acceleration power and the existence of the current sheet. The value of the electric field, E(sub x), is consistent with the theoretically predicted electric field, in the magnetosphere proposed by Podgorny [1992]. To understand the role of the electric field, E(sub x), during the substorm, the effect of the solarwind dynamical pressure to the structure of magnetosphere is investigated by changing the solarwind density while the other parameters are almost kept constant.
