To clarify the effect of the space radiations on the gene expression of p53-dependent regulated genes, space experiments were performed with two human cultured lymphoblastoid cell lines: one cells line (TSCE5) bears a wild-type p53 gene status, and another cells line (WTK1) bears a mutated p53 gene status. Frozen human lymphoblastoid cells were stored on the International Space Station (ISS) for 133 days. The gene expression was analyzed by using DNA chip (a 44k whole human genome microarray, Agilent Technologies Inc.) after culturing the space samples for 6 h on the ground after their return from space. p53-Dependent up-regulated gene expression was found for 50 genes and p53-dependent down-regulated gene expression was found for 94 genes. The biological meanings of them were discussed from an aspect of the gene function about up- and down-regulated genes by the exposure of space radiations at low
