Inland portion is an area where an uncivilized vast land and pastures are scattered, and it is rare to be tormented by the strong wind throughout the year, although climate is rather chilly. Nemuro-city is connected with Sapporo by railroad, and it is only one hour's trip to Sapporo by plane from Nakashibetsu airport which is located 80 km from Nemuro-city. As the incidence of diabetes is high in Nemuro-district, clinical epidemiology and molecular examination of the disease can be done easily. The data obtained from clinical fields is important to evaluate the results obtained from space mice which are designed to produce therapeutic medicine for diabetes on orbit mice-experiments. People living in Nemuro-district showed a big interest in space medicine as it could produce a therapeutic medicine for diabetes. Moreover, Nemuro-district is one of the best place in Japan for constructing a terrestrial short-time agravity experiment facilities by use of free aerial fall capsule system for its lowest population density. This smart agravity facilities will become very powerful in making mission apparatus for recoverable small-sized mice experiment satellites in the way of order-made. As this smart facilities is less expensive, it can provide frequent experiment chances with low cost to many investigators who are enthusiastic for agravity experiments in space. The agravity conditions lasting 14 seconds inside the inner capsule will give sufficient conditions to study the biochemical, physiological, and biological phenomena that is specific in space.
