Thermal convection in binary alkali phosphate melts was observed under vertical magnetic fields. The flow velocity of the convection decreased to about one-third of the velocity at 0 T in the melt of low alkali content glass by applying magnetic fields above 1 T. Contrary to this, the velocity was almost constant in the melt of high alkali content glass above 1 T. It was deduced that different electro-magnetic forces might act on positively charged alkali ions and negatively charged clusters consisting of PO4 tetrahedra, resulting in the attenuation of the flow velocity of the melts., 資料番号: AA0046917083}, pages = {271--272}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA/ISAS)}, title = {磁場下におけるガラス融液の流れ}, year = {2004} }
