The results showed that the partial Fe(2+) incorporation by Ni(2+) and Mg(2+) cations led to a significant improvement in the catalytic activity for the N2O decomposition. The N2O conversion reached 100 % over the Ni(0.75)Fe(2.25)O4 and Mg(0.58)Fe(2.42)O4 catalysts at 533 and 545 K for N2O (1000 ppm), respectively.
