In this study, optimization of acceleration channel structure and material in Hall thrusters are examined. Numerical simulation was carried out by using hybrid Particle-In-Cell method, and its result was compared with the experimental one. The magnetic-layer-type Hall thruster THT-VI, which has the same channel configuration as Russian SPT-100 Hall thruster, was operated. Calculated dependence of channel material on performance showed that the BNAlN channel with a high secondary electron emission coefficient has the highest
