Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency(JAXA)(ISAS)), Sagamihara, Kanagawa Japan, In order to liberate ion thrusters from the limitations of hollow cathode, the inductively coupledplasma cathode (ICP/C) has been developed as electron sources for ion thrusters. The power consumption of the cathode is not sufficient for practical use in space. Therefore, for improvement of the cathode performance, its inner plasma parameters were evaluated by single and double probes. Through experimental evaluations, it was obtained that the emission electron current from ICP/C is limited by the collection ion current on the ion collector. Like the emission electron current, the electron number density in ICP/C is proportional to the input RF power. As a result, ICP/C requires high electron number density to improve its performance at constant RF power, because the collection ion current at ion sheath depends on the density of inner plasma., 形態: カラー図版あり, 形態: CD-ROM1枚, Physical characteristics: Original contains color illustrations, Note: One CD-ROM, 資料番号: AA0065073117}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究所, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)(ISAS)}, title = {誘導結合プラズマを用いた電子源の内部プラズマ診断}, year = {2011} }
