Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency(JAXA)), Sagamihara, Kanagawa Japan, This paper presents effect of ambient flow for propulsive performance and the valve operations on H2/Air Pulse Detonation Engine using the system-level modeling, multi-cycle and automatic valve timing with detail chemical reaction model. The present results show that effect of ambient flow appears on the propulsive performance when the jet becomes highly over-expanded.
