We examined the difference between the observation of the magnetic field with MGF and the Tsyganenko-Sitnov 04 (TS04) model field in DSI coordinates (ΔB sub(DSI)) during the quiet time intervals. ΔB sub(z, DSI) was - 0.7 nT on average, which indicates that the B_sub(DCnoise) in the spin-axis direction is quite small. We conclude that the MGF data are well-calibrated and no large B_sub(DCnoise) is included in the measured magnetic field.
