{"created":"2025-02-21T06:28:49.607138+00:00","id":2001705,"links":{},"metadata":{"_buckets":{"deposit":"672f2632-3d49-4428-8b47-76ce18b04edc"},"_deposit":{"created_by":101,"id":"2001705","owner":"101","owners":[101],"pid":{"revision_id":0,"type":"depid","value":"2001705"},"status":"published"},"_oai":{"id":"oai:jaxa.repo.nii.ac.jp:02001705","sets":["1398:1408:1739346624282","1887:1893","9:10:1732857580946:1739346397822"]},"author_link":[],"control_number":"2001705","item_1692929429513":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"高エネルギー天文学の初期から始まったMeVガンマ線天文学は、COMPTEL(1991–2000) 以降、大きな進展がない。これはMeVガンマ線の観測が、宇宙線と検出器本体との相互作用によって生じる多量の背景事象よって妨げられるだけでなく、従来のガンマ線イメージングでは、観測対象からのガンマ線が、周辺天体からのガンマ線・銀河外拡散放射・大気ガンマ線と混雑し切り分けが困難になってしまうことにある。我々は将来のMeV ガンマ線天体観測に向け、電子飛跡検出型コンプトンカメラ(ETCC)の開発を進めている。このETCCは、コンプトン散乱体となるガス飛跡検出器と、その周囲に配置された吸収体となるシンチレータで構成され、物理法則に基づく強力な雑音除去法を持ち、可視光・X 線望遠鏡と同様に定義された点源拡がり関数(Point Spread Function: PSF)を用いてガンマ線同士の混雑を抑制する。宇宙環境下における天体観測の実証実験として、2018年にオーストラリアのアリススプリングスで2回目の気球実験SMILE-2+を実施した。この実験で、かに星雲を4σ、銀河中心領域を8σの有意度で検出することに成功した。また、SMILE-2+の検出感度は、地上較正実験から計算した期待値と一致した。ETCCによる天体観測可用性がSMILE-IとSMILE-2+によって確認できたため、次のステップとして科学観測のための気球実験(SMILE-3)を計画している。SMILE-3では、電子陽電子消滅線と銀河中心領域における銀河系拡散ガンマ線を観測し、その空間分布とエネルギースペクトルから、小惑星質量の原始ブラックホールとMeVスケールの暗黒物質の存在を制限する。","subitem_description_language":"ja","subitem_description_type":"Other"},{"subitem_description":"MeV gamma-ray astronomy has seen limited progress since the era of COMPTEL, although it was started in the beginning of the high energy astrophysics. This is primarily due to significant observational challenges in the MeV band, which are obstructed by the huge background produced by the interaction between cosmic rays and detector bodies. In addition, the observations of celestial objects in this band are often contaminated by gamma rays from other astrophysical sources, extragalactic diffuse emission, and atmospheric gamma rays. These issues arise because conventional gamma-ray imaging methods struggle to distinguish events originating from the region of the interest from those coming from the outside. For the future observations, we are developing an electrontracking Compton camera (ETCC). This ETCC, which consists of a gaseous electron tracker as the Compton scattering target and the surrounding scintillators as the absorber. This system provides strong background rejection capabilities based on physical processes and reduces the contamination using a point spread function (PSF) defined in the same way as Optical/X-ray telescopes. As a demonstration of the observation of the celestial objects under the space environment, we performed the second balloon flight SMILE-2+ in Alice Springs, Australia, in 2018. In this flight, SMILE-2+ successfully detected the Crab Nebula and the Galactic Center region with the significance of 4σ and 8σ, respectively. The detection sensitivity achieved by SMILE-2+ was consistent with the expectation calculated from the ground calibration. The success of both SMILE-I and SMILE-2+ has confirmed the feasibility of MeV gamma-ray observations using ETCCs, therefore, we are planning the next balloon flights (SMILE-3) for the scientific observations. The priority target of SMILE-3 is the electron-positron annihilation line and the Galactic diffuse gamma-ray in the Galactic center region. We will constrain the existence of the asteroid-mass primordial black holes and the MeV-scale dark matter by the spatial distribution and energy spectrum of the galactic diffuse
