| 内容記述 | The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of trailing-edge flaps on a Forward-Swept Wing (FSW) at low speeds and high angles of attack, in order to obtain insights toward an aerodynamic optimization of high-lift devices on FSW for Supersonic Transport (SST). In this study, a plain flap and a Gurney flap were investigated. To investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of the FSW with flaps, numerical simulations using Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations were conducted. For comparison of aerodynamic performances and flow structures, a Backward-Swept Wing (BSW) with the same flaps was also analyzed. From these numerical results, on the FSW with plain flaps, the lift performance asymptotically approached that of the BSW with plain flaps as the flap deflection angle increased. At a 30° flap deflection angle, the FSW achieved comparable lift performance to the BSW. However, the FSW exhibited a higher root bending moment, which is attributed to a leading-edge vortex forming near the wingtip. In terms of the Gurney flap, a higher lift-to-drag ratio than that of the plain flap was obtained in the FSW as well as the BSW with similar drag to the Gurney flap. These findings suggest that, for a FSW with plain flaps, utilizing large flap deflection angles is an effective method for lift enhancement. However, this must be balanced with the need to reduce the root bending moment. The Gurney flap is a possible option for conditions such as take-off, where a high lift-to-drag ratio is critical. Nevertheless, to achieve further lift performance, a combined design with other high-lift devices is required. | |||||||||||||
