Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)(ISAS)), Sagamihara, Kanagawa Japan, We carry out the impact experiments at velocities higher than ca. 10 km/s and observe x ray radiated from the impact-induced vapor clouds. The x-ray energies are in the order of 10((exp -3) times projectile kinetic energy. Based on the experimental results, we evaluate the feasibility of the observations of Late-Heavy-Bombardments (LHB) on extrasolar planets at 10 pc from Earth and of impacts at the Moon surface. The detection of the x ray caused by LHB on extrasolar planets seems difficult, but the size distribution of minor-solar system bodies with a size larger than ca. 1 cm may be evaluated by the x-ray observations of the Moon surface., 形態: CD-ROM1枚, 著者人数: 14人, Note: One CD-ROM, Number of authors: 14, 資料番号: AA0065390017}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究所 (JAXA)(ISAS), Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)(ISAS)}, title = {X-ray radiation in hypervelocity impacts at velocities higher than 10 km/s}, volume = {44}, year = {2011} }
