For measuring the lunar heat flow value in future lunar landing missions, it is important to understanding how the low conductivity is established. This study aimed at understanding the heat transfer mechanism in powder media such as the lunar surface materials. The thermal conductivity of glass beads as powder sample was measured with varying powder pressure and particle size under high vacuum conditions. It was found that the powder pressure significantly affects the thermal conductivity of glass beads, and comparison of our experimental data with a theoretical model indicated that the dependence on the powder pressure was seen on 1/3 power curves., 形態: カラー図版あり, Physical characteristics: Original contains color illustrations, 資料番号: AA0065116014}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究所 (JAXA)(ISAS), Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)(ISAS)}, title = {Experimental study for understanding thermal conductivity of lunar surface materials}, volume = {43}, year = {2010} }
