Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)), In order to examine the effect of centrifugal force on collisional disruption of small bodies, we performed two different series of impact experiments, i.e., disruption experiments of stress-applied targets and rotating targets. In both experimental series, the largest fragment mass normalized by initial target mass decreased with increase of internal stress generated by the applied force or the rotation. This result suggests that the effect of the centrifugal force on collisonal disruption is significant for the collisional evolution of small bodies, or has to be taken into account., Physical characteristics: Original contains color illustrations, 資料番号: AA0064291006}, pages = {27--30}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)}, title = {Experimental study for effect of centrifugal force on collisional disruption of small bodies}, volume = {41}, year = {2009} }
