However, there are some difficulties to determine the surface age using the CSFD on an area less than 4 km in diameter, because the detection limit of degraded craters appears in this size range. We examined the effect of illumination condition to the CSFD. In the southeastern part of Mare Serenitatis, the degraded craters less than 1 km in diameter account for 30 percent of the craters using two images with different
